Course Objectives:
On completion of this course, candidates will have an understanding of:
- The correct operation of the lift truck model used during training safely, correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s handbook and accepted good practice
- The causes of instability of the lift truck and loads
- Routine pre-use inspection of the lift truck
Intended Candidates:
For those who move various palletised loads or similar within the working environment.
Course Ratio:
3 Candidates, 1 Instructor and 1 Truck
- Novice 5 Days (For those that have never driven a lift truck)
- Existing Driver 3 Days (For those that have experience but have never had formal training and passed a test)
- Refresher training 1 Day (For those who have passed a Basic Operators Course)
Course Requirements:
- Classroom
- Reach Lift Truck of the type the candidate will be required to use
- Suitable Training Area
- Pallets / Palletised Loads that can be stacked at various heights
On Completion:
The candidates will receive a certificate of basic operator training, entry onto National Delegate Register (NDR), NORS registration and photographic I.D. card if requested.
